Important: This Privacy Policy describes the privacy and security approach represented by the current Encryptia product information. It does not promise absolute security and does not replace any rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
1. Our Privacy Approach
Encryptia Safe Password (“Encryptia”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is an iOS password manager designed with a privacy-first approach. Encryptia is designed to help users securely store, manage, and protect passwords and other sensitive information.
Encryptia is designed around privacy, secure storage, encryption, and controlled access. Your passwords and sensitive vault information are intended to remain protected within the encrypted vault.
2. Passwords and Vault Data
Encryptia allows you to store passwords, credentials, notes, identity information, payment-related information, Wi-Fi information, and other sensitive data inside your vault.
Encryptia uses AES-256-GCM encryption as identified by the application and product materials. The application is designed so that vault data is encrypted before it leaves the device when using supported synchronization features.
Encryptia is designed so that the developer does not need access to individual passwords or the contents of the user's vault to provide the core password-management functionality.
3. Master Password
Your Master Password is a critical security credential used to protect access to your vault. You should never share it with anyone.
Encryptia does not guarantee recovery of a vault if the Master Password is forgotten, lost, or otherwise unavailable. Users are responsible for remembering and protecting their Master Password.
4. Biometric Authentication
Encryptia may support Face ID or Touch ID for convenient access to your vault. Biometric authentication is handled through Apple's operating-system security mechanisms. Encryptia does not receive or store your biometric data.
5. Cloud Synchronization and Third-Party Services
Encryptia may support synchronization through iCloud, Google Drive and WebDAV. These are independently operated services and are subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
When Cloud Sync is enabled, encrypted vault data may be transmitted to or stored through the cloud service selected by the user. Encryptia is designed to encrypt vault data before synchronization, but the developer does not control the infrastructure, availability, security practices, policies, or actions of third-party providers.
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their connected cloud accounts and for reviewing the terms and privacy policies of services they choose to connect to Encryptia.
6. Security Measures and Limitations
Encryptia is designed with security features including encrypted vault storage, AES-256-GCM encryption, biometric protection where supported, automatic locking, encrypted synchronization, and encrypted backup and restore.
No software, device, storage system, cloud service, or electronic transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. While reasonable measures may be taken to design and maintain Encryptia with security in mind, we do not guarantee that the application will be free from vulnerabilities, security incidents, unauthorized access, data loss, or other security threats.
Security technologies and threats evolve continuously. Encryptia may be updated when appropriate, but absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
7. User Responsibility
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their device, operating system, Apple Account, connected cloud-storage accounts, backup files, authentication credentials, and Master Password.
- Do not share your Master Password.
- Keep your device and operating system updated.
- Protect your Apple Account and connected cloud accounts.
- Use appropriate security settings on your device.
- Store backup files in a secure location.
8. Device and Operating System
Encryptia's security depends in part on the security of the device and operating system on which it operates. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not responsible for security issues caused by compromised or jailbroken devices, malicious software, outdated operating systems, unauthorized device access, stolen or lost devices, compromised accounts, insecure configurations, or actions taken by users or third parties outside the developer's reasonable control.
9. Password Security Checks
Encryptia may analyze passwords stored in the vault to identify security conditions such as weak, compromised, reused, or strong passwords. These checks are intended to help users improve account security.
10. Backup, Restore and Data Loss
Encryptia may provide encrypted backup and restore functionality. Users are solely responsible for maintaining copies of backup files and storing them securely.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not responsible for loss of access to vault data resulting from a forgotten or lost Master Password, loss or damage of a device, deletion or corruption of vault data, third-party cloud failure, improperly configured synchronization, lost or damaged backups, user error, unauthorized access, or circumstances outside the developer's reasonable control.
11. Data Collection
This Privacy Policy does not state that Encryptia sells personal information or uses personal vault contents for advertising. The application should only collect information that is necessary for the features and services actually implemented.
If future versions introduce analytics, crash reporting, advertising, account services, or other data-collection mechanisms, this Privacy Policy should be updated to accurately describe those practices before they are deployed.
12. Children's Privacy
Encryptia is not specifically designed to collect personal information from children. We do not knowingly design the application to collect personal information from children for advertising or profiling purposes.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Encryptia's features, services, or data practices change. When significant changes are made, the updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
14. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Encryptia is provided as a security and password-management tool. It is not represented or warranted to be completely immune from hacking, unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, malware, data loss, or other security threats.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of Encryptia shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, loss of access, loss of profits, or business interruption arising from or related to the use of Encryptia, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to exclude or limit any rights, remedies, warranties, or protections that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
